On Wednesday afternoon the Rural Pope County Fire Protection District made an announcement via social media that they will be adding First Responders to their department in the near future. The statement advised that some of the department members will receive their Emergency Medical Response Certifications in the coming months.
This will allow the Rural Pope Department to work in conjunction with the Pope County Ambulance to assist in caring for and stabilizing patients.
