On Saturday, August 14th, Starting at 4 PM until 8 PM the Brookport Fire Department and residents of the City of Brookport will be having a benefit for Dustin Boyt. The benefit will take place at the Harry Statham gym (Brookport Gym) located on Crockett St, Brookport, IL. This young man lives in Brookport with his fiancé and two young children.
Dustin was injured in the explosion at his place of employment. He was flown to Vanderbilt Burn Unit for treatment. And to add to this run of unfortunate event , BFD responded to a rollover at their address. The driver hit,and totaled, one car and hit the second causing damage. Their little girl was in the front yard when this happened. Had that car(totaled) not been there, this couldve been a fatality.
On Saturday, Aug. 14 starting at 4 PM, there will be a spaghetti dinner. Starting at 6pm-9pm they will have Chandler “Rowdy”Roberts for entertainment.
