WMOK (Metropolis, IL) – On April 15, 2025, officers from the Metropolis Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a black pick-up truck on North Ave for improper lane usage, as the vehicle was observed weaving in and out of its traffic lane.
The driver, identified as 56-year-old Angela M. Miller of Metropolis, exhibited signs of impairment, including the odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath and slurred speech. Following a series of field sobriety tests, Miller was unable to demonstrate the necessary coordination and was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence (DUI).
After processing, Angela M. Miller was released with a notice to appear in court. Her first appearance is scheduled for May 15, 2025, at 8:30 AM in courtroom 2.
