In a recent police operation, Christina L. Avila, 54, of Metropolis, was taken into custody in the 1300 block of Coburn. Authorities confirmed that Avila was apprehended due to two outstanding warrants issued by Massac County. The warrants were related to her failure to appear in court (FTA) for charges of possession of methamphetamines. Following her arrest, Avila was transported and lodged in the Massac County Detention Center, where she awaits further legal proceedings.
