Cody B. Weaver, a 44-year-old resident of Metropolis, was taken into custody on April 4, 2025, in the parking lot of the Quality Inn. Weaver was apprehended as authorities executed outstanding warrants for his arrest, which were issued by Massac County.
The warrants stemmed from serious charges including possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of contraband in a penal institution. Following his arrest, Weaver was transported and lodged in the Massac County Detention Center, where he awaits further legal proceedings.
