WMOK (Metropolis, IL) – On February 2, emergency services responded to a report of an injured person outside 1909 Ferry St. Upon arrival, officers were met with a disturbing scene: the victim was found covered in blood, suffering from a significant laceration to the head and additional facial injuries.
The investigation into the incident revealed that two individuals had ambushed the victim. Authorities have successfully located one suspect, identified as 28-year-old Shawn P. Walker from Brookport. Walker has been arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery.
The second offender has also been identified, and a warrant is pending for his arrest. Following his arrest, Walker was taken to the Massac County Detention Center, where he will await further legal proceedings. The investigation remains ongoing as law enforcement continues to pursue the second suspect involved in this violent altercation.
