WMOK Metropolis IL – In a December incident, a Metropolis Police Officer made an observation that led to the arrest of 46-year-old Sean Taylor. While patrolling the 1300 block of Filmore, the officer recognized Taylor, who was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear related to a possession of a controlled substance charge in Missouri.
During the arrest, a clear plastic baggie containing methamphetamine fell from Taylor’s right pocket. When questioned, Taylor claimed he was unaware of the baggie’s presence, explaining that he was wearing pants that did not belong to him at the time.
Taylor was taken into custody on the warrant and is now facing additional charges for possession of methamphetamine. He was been lodged at the Massac County Detention Center.
The preceding information pertains to an arrest made by the Metropolis Police Department. This arrest was made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
