C.O.P.E. Food Pantry Distribution takes place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday in Metropolis at 1013 North Avenue from 9am until 3pm.  Please bring your photo I.D. and proof of Massac County Residency.

Shawnee Development Council Hosts Walk-In Thursdays for Community Support

WMOK (Metropolis, IL) – The Shawnee Development Council is excited to announce that Thursdays will now be designated as walk-in days for community members seeking assistance. This initiative aims to make services more accessible to residents without the need for prior appointments.

Each Thursday, individuals can visit the council and receive the support they need in a convenient, no-hassle setting. Those interested in utilizing this service are encouraged to bring all required documentation to ensure a smooth and efficient process.

The walk-in program reflects the council’s commitment to serving the community and addressing the needs of residents effectively. By eliminating the need for appointments, the Shawnee Development Council hopes to create a welcoming environment for anyone seeking help.
