(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – County Clerk Haley Miles has advised WMOK that all deadlines for running for office have passed, and the candidates are now in place.
You may have already received a permanent vote-by-mail application in the mail, but remember, voting by mail is your choice.
Miles emphasizes that voters can opt-out of the vote-by-mail system by returning the application form or calling the office at 618-524-5213. She also reminds constituents that the state mandates the mailing of vote-by-mail applications.
All polling locations will be open on Election Day, and early voting begins on September 26th.
Haley Miles will join us on WMOK’s Coffee Break soon to discuss the upcoming elections in more detail.
