Chief Masse – Tuesday Life Saving Incident At Sully’s In Metropolis – WMOK Coffee Break

(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – Metropolis Police Chief Harry Masse saved a life on Tuesday night while attending his weekly pool league at Sully’s in Metropolis.

One of his team members, who had recently undergone surgery and was sitting on the sidelines, suddenly stopped breathing and fell to the ground.

Chief Masse quickly sprang into action, performing CPR.  A nurse was also on the scene. The two handled the situation until the Massac County Ambulance and Metropolis Fire Department soon arrived to take over.

To the best of Chief Masse’s knowledge, the man was stabilized and transferred to a local cardiac unit for further care.

Chief Masse discussed the importance of community members learning CPR as one never knows when they may be faced with an emergency situation requiring such.
