(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – Massac Unit 1 School Superintendent Jason Hayes hailed College Signing Day as “a celebration of all things post-secondary” during the event held at Massac High on May 3rd.
The gymnasium was packed with students, their families, and supporters, all gathered to recognize the diverse aspirations and achievements of Massac High School students.
According to Superintendent Hayes, the event has evolved significantly since its inception, expanding beyond its initial focus on college and university signings to encompass all paths students take after graduation. This includes vocational training, military service, and other post-secondary pursuits.
The ceremony featured a motivational speech by Corey Evitts, who encouraged students to chase their passions and dreams. The event marked an exciting milestone in the educational journey of Massac High School students as they prepare to embark on their next steps.
