The First of Two Phases of Massac County's 9-1-1 System to Go Live Next Week

(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – One of the topics we’ve been keeping track of here at WMOK is the switching over of our county’s 9-1-1 emergency system.

WMOK followed up with Massac County Sheriff Chad Kaylor today regarding the project today and he told us that they are expected to go live next week.  Kaylor said that testing was completed today.

Kaylor told us that this is not “the full transition” but the first of two phases.

We’ll be in touch with Kaylor and others involved as the project unfolds – and Sheriff Kaylor will join us on WMOK’s Coffee Break program for further discussion on Tuesday Februrary13.
