Happy Hearts Technology Time is BACK!

Happy Hearts
Technology Time
has returned!

(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – WMOK rejoined the festivities at Happy Heart’s Senior Center in Metropolis this week after a hiatus in December.

Technology time is a project of Kim and Angie of the WMOK Morning Show.  We visit the Happy Hearts monthly to assist the attendees in learning to text, subscribing to the WMOK yellow sheet and more.

We located a couple of listeners this morning who don’t currently have a “morning texting buddy” and we’ve set them up to begin their morning texting routine with us tomorrow.

We find texting to be a beneficial skill for our aging community members as it gives them some communication and someone to “check in with” in the mornings as they get their day underway.

We left our “Happies”  with the assignment to text us in the mornings and request a song.   We’ve given them the challenge of seeing how many text interactions they can accumulate with us before we meet again on February 21st at 10:45.
