2nd Annual MCMH Haunted Hayride Saturday

(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – The Massac County Mental Health Haunted Hayride will take place on Saturday evening at the Massac County Youth Fairgrounds behind Massac High.

Details from Massac County Mental Health:

The hayride will enter at the east side (the end closest to the football field), drive through the entire road of the fairgrounds, and then exit out the west end.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED: All interested volunteers can have as much or as little room as needed.

Whether volunteers want to dress up and walk around the path jumping out at people

or actually claim a specific area to create a spooky scene,

all help is welcomed.

We ask that no volunteers actually touch any of the guests going through the hayride but we do want it to be scary so all things that make you jump are fine. We have had different scare suggestions but also see that our volunteers have great ideas of their own. Different “scare suggestions” :

* (chainless) chainsaw

* hanging body bags

*scarecrow field

*scary clown area

*cemetery scene

*spider’s nest

There are open fields, a few trees, a couple of buildings and then the stalls that are used for 4H allowing for a number of different backdrops.

We have access to the fairgrounds both Friday and Saturday and representatives from Massac County Mental Health can meet you any time for decorating.

Those who wish to get involved in the scaring should call or text (618) 926-2402

Those who wish to ride through the hayride should arrive at the Massac County Youth Fairgrounds on Saturday the 14th between 6pm and 9pm.

$10 to ride on our MCMH hayride
$20 to take your own car through
$30 to take your own hayride through
