The Metropolis Police Department will honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month by selling Pink Metropolis Police Department Patches to raise funds. The patches are $15.00 each. At 9pm Zaago’s Horror Extravaganza will be guiding everyone through an outdoor showing of the cult classic Night of the Living Dead.

Those who attend will have the choice to make any of the following crafts: Stamping Up Cards (instructor Mina Haverkamp), Material Wreaths (instructor Carol Kent), Painted Stepstones (instructor Judy Ferguson), and Lace Pumpkin (instructor Lisa Blair from MarLi’s). A small fee will be asked for each craft you make to cover the instructor’s expenses. Come have some fun and bring a friend! PLEASE sign up ahead to make sure they have enough for everyone.

6P Fall 2022 Women’s Personal Defense Course held at the Metropolis Community Center. This is a 5 week course for women/girls only. Participants will learn how and where to strike attackers, how to avoid potential threats, and ultimately test their new skills and go all out on the instructors. Course tickets are $80.
