DAY ONE…Today and Tonight – Isolated thunderstorms this morning will contain brief heavy rain and dangerous lightning. Thunderstorms will become more numerous this afternoon over western Kentucky and southwest Indiana, along an eastward moving cold front. A few of these storms could briefly reach severe levels. The main hazards will be isolated damaging wind gusts and large hail. The storms will move east of the region early this evening.

A Lake Wind Advisory is in effect today for sustained southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph with higher gusts. Boaters should exercise extra caution.

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Wednesday through Monday – Another round of thunderstorms is expected later this week, mainly Thursday and Thursday night. There is a risk some of these storms could be severe. More specific details on the location, timing, and types of hazards will become available in future outlooks.

A small chance of thunderstorms will linger into Friday. Lightning and locally heavy rain will be the main impacts then.
