Southern Illinois Drug Task Force: Metropolis Man Arrested on Felony Charges

Metropolis, IL – On October 26, 2021, the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force (SIDTF), the Massac County Sheriff’s Office and the Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Zone 7 executed a search warrant at a residence in rural Metropolis, Illinois. Casey M. Suggs, a 46-year-old male of Metropolis, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver over 400 grams (Class X Felony) and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon (Class 3 Felony). The investigation leading to this arrest was conducted by the SIDTF.

The membership of the Ullin Office of the SIDTF is comprised of the Illinois State Police, the Massac County Sheriff’s Office and the Metropolis Police Department. The cases will be prosecuted by the Massac County State’s Attorney, Joshua Stratemeyer.
