WMOK (Metropolis, IL) On March 26, a routine traffic stop in Metropolis led to the arrest of a driver for multiple offenses. An officer pulled over a Nissan at the intersection of Girard and 5th St. after observing the vehicle fail to come to a complete stop at a stop sign. During the stop, a check of the driver’s information revealed that Larry A. Sims, 50, from Kevil, Kentucky, was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. As a result, Sims was charged with driving while license suspended (DWLS) in addition to the stop sign violation.
