Jonathan P. Shelton, 54, of Metropolis, was arrested at his residence in the 500 block of E. 6th Street on Tuesday. Authorities confirmed that Shelton was taken into custody following a warrant issued by Massac County for failing to appear in court on charges of harassment by telephone.
Shelton has been lodged at the Massac County Detention Center as legal proceedings are set to move forward.
