WMOK (Metropolis, IL) – On March 12, 2025, a Metropolis Officer initiated a traffic stop on a gray Nissan traveling at 71 mph in a posted 55 mph construction zone on I-24.
The driver, identified as Christi R. Jones, 48, of Beechwood, TN, was found to have a revoked driver’s license following a computer check.
Jones was subsequently charged with speeding in a construction zone as well as driving with a revoked license. She was released at the scene on a notice to appear in court.
