Metropolis, IL – On February 10, 2025, local officers responded to reports of a disturbance at a residence in the 200 block of Girard. Upon their arrival, they encountered a female individual inside a vehicle who was reportedly throwing items around.
According to police reports, the woman, later identified as 23-year-old Devonda G. Lamoureux from Calvert City, Kentucky, refused to cooperate with the responding officers. Despite being informed multiple times that she was not welcome at the residence, Lamoureux attempted to approach the house. When officers intervened, she began to struggle with them in an effort to break free.
As a result of her actions, she was arrested and charged with obstructing and resisting a police officer. Lamoureux was subsequently taken into custody and lodged at the Massac County Detention Center.
The preceding information pertains to an arrest made by the Metropolis Police Department. This arrest was made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
