WMOK (Metropolis, IL) – On February 1, a Metropolis Sergeant initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of E. 5th and Yasoda Street after noticing a defective headlight on a vehicle. Upon conducting a routine computer check, it was revealed that the driver, 19-year-old Kylee D. Stake from Greenup, KY, was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.
Following the discovery, Stake was charged for the violation and subsequently released on a notice to appear in court. This incident highlights the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to ensure roadway safety and compliance with traffic laws.
