
WMOK (Metropolis, IL) – On January 27, 2025 officers from the Metropolis Police Department responded to a call regarding a disturbance in the 600 block of E. 6th Street. Upon arrival, officers encountered 52-year-old Michael D. Anderson, who was reported to be yelling and screaming at individuals in the vicinity.
Despite repeated warnings from police to cease his disruptive behavior, Anderson continued his actions, leading to growing concern among local residents, who expressed both fear and annoyance. In light of this situation, Anderson was charged with disorderly conduct.
Following the incident, Anderson was released on a notice to appear in court. The police department encourages residents to report any disturbances or suspicious activities to maintain the safety and well-being of the community.
