Tuesday, December 3

12P – The Kiwanis Club of Metropolis meets every Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 520 Ferry Street in Metropolis

The Metropolis Elks Lodge monthly meetings take place the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. Except July, August and December only the 1st Tuesday. Members only can attend. Applications can be picked up at the Lodge or from a member.

6:30A – 10:30A – First Methodist Church Metropolis – Metropolis Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast –  The annual pancake breakfast fundraiser takes place on the morning of the Christmas parade. They will serve pancakes, sausage and bacon to help raise funds for those in need throughout Massac County. All you can eat for $12! Kids 5 and under eat free with an accompanying adult. Send them a message if you would like to purchase tickets or reach out to one of your favorite Kiwanians!

1P – Washington Park – **VINTAGE CHRISTMAS PARADE** Join in for our town’s beloved Christmas parade, celebrating the magic of the holidays through the decades with a vintage theme! Participants are invited to create floats representing Christmas from different eras, including the 1920s, 1950s, 1970s, and 1990s. They welcome families, businesses, schools, and community groups to showcase your creativity! Register your float now and join this festive tradition!

6P – Brookport’s Annual Winter Wonderland – 287 W 3rd St., Brookport -Santa is coming to Brookport, and they need you there to help us give him a warm holiday welcome! Bring your family and friends down to Brookport to watch Santa arrive to town via his firetruck sleigh (courtesy of the Brookport Fire Department) at 6 PM.

Families can bring an ornament of their choosing to decorate Santa’s tree before he arrives at the destination. Everyone will have the opportunity to meet and take photos with Santa during the event. Cookies and hot chocolate will be provided, and each child will be able to choose a toy from Santa’s own toy-chest! The event will be held at the Brookport Betterment Committee (BBC) Community Center, formerly known as the First Christian Church.

6P – Killer Christmas Party w/ Corey Evitts – Metropolis Elks Lodge 104 W 4th St. – Join in for a night of frightening and festive fun, as the Elks Lodge merge a little thrill and chill for everyone. Wear something scary, wear something sweet as you all are in for a real good treat! Corey Evitts will fire up at 8pm and a $5 (non-member) cover will get you in.
