METROPOLIS, IL – This weekend, the community of Metropolis, IL is gearing up for the 2nd Annual Cancer Warriors Walk for Hope, an event aimed at raising awareness and funds to support cancer programs in the lower seven counties of Illinois.

Scheduled for Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Dorothy Miller Park, Metropolis, IL, the event promises a fun-filled day of resources, awareness, and fundraising to support those impacted by cancer in the region.

The Cancer Warriors Walk for Hope is presented in partnership by Massac Memorial Hospital, Union County Hospital, Hardin County General Hospital, Rural Health, Inc., CHESI (Community Health & Emergency Services), Southern 7 Health Department, and the Hope Light Foundation. This collaboration demonstrates the united effort of local healthcare providers and businesses in addressing the impact of cancer on families in the region.
