(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – The Massac County High School golf team claimed top honors at the Metropolis Invitational golf tournament, carding a team score of 148.
Gallatin County finished runner-up with a score of 166.
Massac County’s Gabe Rottmann and Gallatin County’s Grayson Wilson shared medalist honors, each shooting an impressive 35.
Rottmann’s outstanding performance led Massac County, solidifying its position as a force to be reckoned with in regional golf.

Coach McVey led the team to victory, with standout performances from four golfers who earned All-Conference recognition:

MCHS BOYS GOLF TEAM REPEATS AS SIRR OHIO CHAMPIONS
(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – The Massac County High School (MCHS) Boys Golf team made history Thursday, successfully defending their title as Southern Illinois River-to-River (SIRR) Ohio Division Champions at the conference tournament.
Gabe Rottmann led the charge, capturing medalist honors with an impressive 77-stroke performance.
Teammates Tate Jennings, Zach Maurer, and Carter Quint joined Rottmann on the prestigious SIRR All-Conference team, solidifying the squad’s dominance in regional golf.
