2024 Metropolis Lions Club Labor Day Parade In The Books – See It Here from WMOK

(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – Massac County had fantastic weather on Monday for the Metropolis Lions Club Labor Day Parade.

The turnout for the parade participants did seem larger than last year, though we haven’t gone back to confirm the numbers.

The date for the 2025 Metropolis Lions Club Labor Day Parade is Monday, September 1, 2025.

As Mayor Canada put it, “This free event offers a unique opportunity for local businesses, organizations, and groups to showcase themselves and connect with the community. Participants can build floats, enter vehicles, or simply walk the parade route. All are welcome, including clowns, hula-dancers, neighborhood groups, families, schools, churches, and civic groups.”
