(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – When WMOK spoke with Metropolis Mayor Don Canada we learned the current situation of the Civitan / Lincoln Ballpark on East 5th Street in Metropolis.
Regarding tennis courts in the park – Canada explained that it would not be feasible to replace the courts at the park as the cost could fall in the 500-600 thousand dollar range to install them properly.
Mayor Canada told WMOK that councilpersons are working on potential ideas for the park’s future.
