Metropolis Public Library Moves Forward Following Sad Era
(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – When Metropolis Mayor Don Canada joined WMOK for Coffee Break in July we asked him to give a summation of where things currently stand with the Metropolis Public Library following the disruption earlier this year that garnered national attention.

Wrapping Up - 5th Street - Civitan and Lincoln Park
(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – When WMOK spoke with Metropolis Mayor Don Canada we learned the current situation of the Civitan / Lincoln Ballpark on East 5th Street in Metropolis.
Regarding tennis courts in the park – Canada advised that it would not be feasible to replace the courts at the park as the cost could fall in the 500-600 thousand dollar range.
Mayor Canada told WMOK that councilpersons are working on potential ideas for the future of the park.
