(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – The Metropolis Public Library Board of Trustees met on Tuesday evening for their regular meeting one of their items of business was a discussion for the replacement of board members – this following the resignation of one board member and the absence of another.
Stephanie Johnson of the Board of Trustees told WMOK, “Mayor Canada let me know that Carl Johnson resigned, he came to his office and turned in his binder. So he knows we have that vacancy to fill. I let him know that we cannot get in touch with Cheriah Herring and that she had been absent from this is the fourth meeting and the finance committee meeting. The board recommended that we replace that seat in the July meeting at City Council.”
