(WMOK) Metropolis, IL – As visitors from near and far travel back to their homes today, another Superman Celebration is in the books – the 2024 Superman Celebration came to a close on Sunday amid rains in Metropolis.
Opening Ceremonies began at 9am on Friday –
followed by the presentation of this year’s Metropolis Planet Lois Lane Award to Vicki Taylor.
On Friday Afternoon – the new Action Comics #1 Mural was welcomed to the community with a ribbon cutting by the Metropolis Chamber of Commerce.
Fans of all ages gathered here this weekend from around the world to enjoy meet and greets, the Artist Alley, costume contests, and special guest appearances.
