Southern Illinois University Carbondale at Vienna High School Hosting Regional FAFSA Information Night

The completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a major component of Senior year. This application is an Illinois state requirement for graduation and required to receive any financial aid and university/college-based scholarships. Typically the open window for access to the FAFSA application is October 1st, but it is being revamped this year and is slated to be available at the end of December.

Southern Illinois University’s Regional FAFSA Night, Monday, December 4th at 6pm in the Commons. Attached below you will find an informative flyer for the event. This event will be reviewing the new FAFSA application. They will also be assisting in creating an FSA ID, which is needed prior to being able to access the application. Students and parents will both have to create a FSA ID. Please bring a device with you. A social security number is required for creation (we do have most seniors SSNs in our system, if needed). This will be a great resource for parents and students. There will be incentives for Seniors if they or their parents attend!
