The Security Camera installation project is nearing completion in the city of Metropolis.
The cameras, of which Metropolis Mayor Don Canada tells WMOK there will be about 32 will overlook many of our main intersections – as well as the public works complex, city parks and several other strategic areas throughout the city.
Metropolis Police Chief Harry Masse spoke specifically about the benefits of cameras at larger intersections such as Devers Road and Highway 45.
