Massac County Sheriff Chad Kaylor Tells WMOK More About Monday Afternoon Fires
Massac County Sheriff Chad Kaylor joined WMOK for an impromptu Coffee Break on Tuesday morning to discuss the Monday afternoon fires in Massac County. Sheriff Kaylor reiterated to WMOK how important it is to obey burn bans as a fire can get out of hand very quickly with the extremely dry conditions
Massac County Emergency Management Director, Brian Horn tells WMOK that approximately 85 acres burned in Massac County on Monday afternoon.
Sheriff Kaylor went into detail during our Coffee Break interview about the fires and the community response. He told WMOK that many individuals showed up with equipment ranging from garden hoes and rakes to skid steers and bucket diggers to cut lines and assist in stopping the fire.
