Today is Good Samaritan Day. We have many good Samaritans in our communities – some of whom are never known. However WMOK had an opportunity to speak with Jeff Pippin not long ago. Jeff Pippin is a School Bus Driver for Robinson Transportation Inc who while finishing up his afternoon route – observed a truck in a pond in Massac County and acted fast to save a local resident.
The next Metropolis City Clean Up Week for 2022 will be held the week of November 14-18. This will be the last Metropolis City Clean Up Week for the year.

The Metropolis Police Department will honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month by selling Pink Metropolis Police Department Patches to raise funds. The patches are $15.00 each.
