Fort Massac Encampment coming to Metropolis October 16th & 17th

The Greater Metropolis Convention & Visitors Bureau announces that one of the biggest events in Illinois is returning on October 16th & 17th at Fort Massac State Park following it’s hiatus in 2020 due to the pandemic.

The Fort Massac Encampment will be held the 3rd full weekend of October.  At this event, history comes to life, in the Park.  The Fort Massac Encampment offers the chance to experience the food, fun, and history including: Thunderous Booms of Cannons, Tempting Assortments of Period Authentic Food, Children’s Activities, Military Camps, Merchants, Crafts, People & Historical Re-enactors, Live Music, Authentically Uniformed Troops, and The Mock Battle.
